Do commands disable achievements?
No
Turning the console on and using it does not disable Steam
achievements. One caveat: individual achievements have their own trigger
conditions, so a net-worth achievement may not fire just because you ran
changecash. The system stays on; the specific unlock may not
register.
How to open the console
- Press Esc to open the pause menu, then go to Settings.
- Open the Game tab — it is the first page.
- Switch the Console toggle on.
- Press ~ (tilde) in game to bring up the command line.
Every command that takes a value wants it space-separated —
settime 0800, not settime0800. Times use 24-hour
format, and changecash / changebalance are
additive, so a negative number takes money away.
